The Olde Curiosity Shoppe

This is my Easter weekend craft project. I used a 7 Gypsies Printer Tray, the lush new Graphic 45 Olde Curiosity Shoppe papers, and lots of Tim Holtz and Kaisercraft embellishments. It's over-the-top and quite eccentric, but I had so much fun making it.

Wizard of Oz Scrapbook

This project has really been a labour of love which has taken me over two weeks to finish. I wanted to venture into the world of scrapbooking, and I've finally made my first small album. I used an old photo album as a template for the cover, and the lovely new Magic of Oz papers by Graphic 45 to decorate it. Here are some photos of the cover and some of the inside pages. There are lots of flaps that lift up which you can't really see in the pictures, and pockets for photos.

Fashion Frames

This is project that I completed recently and have been meaning to blog for the past week. I altered a Kaisercraft hanging frame using Graphic 45 Fashionista papers. I love this paper line, although the colours are a lot bolder than I would normally use. But I think it's sometimes good to go outside your crafting comfortzone! I embellished it with paper roses from my local craft shop, a K&Co metal key and a Kaisercraft manequin wooden flourish. My mum was a fashion designer when she was young, so I intend to use the frames to display photos of her wearing her creations! Thanks for stopping by.

Save the Date!

It's way too hot here to do anything crafty today (or in fact do anything at all!) so I thought I'd share a project I finished at the weekend. I altered this wooden perpetual calendar. I painted the edges with black acrylic paint, and used Tea Dye and Antique Linen Distress Inks on the wooden blocks (although it doesn't really show in the photo). I used October Afternoon paper called Thrift Shop as the backing paper. The image is from Crafty Secrets Creative Scraps called Sew Nice (I have just discovered this company and I am in love with their products!). The caption on the image reads 'Let us grow old like beautiful lace. Treasured and cared for with Grace'. My sister is called Grace and she'll be 18 next week, so I had to use that image. Naturally, I also had to add some lace to the edges. Finally, I finished off with a couple of sewing themed embellishments.

Altered Trinket Box

This is a project that I've just completed. I picked up this wooden trinket box in charity shop, and I knew it would be something that I could alter. I used Graphic 45 Renaissance Faire papers to cover it (I love Graphic 45!). I added some Ranger Crackle Accents to some of the flowers to give them an 'aged' looked. Finally I added some black lace and Tim Holtz embellishments.

Thank you for looking!
